About the Role

Your role will facilitate, support and review what is needed to find a long term permanent home for children and young people. You will be assisting with close oversight of the children, tracking progress for achieving long term permanency, with the hope of avoiding any drift. You will be identifying what is needed to find a long term home for children and young people and supporting the Child's Social Worker to provide details, of the children for such events as ' a day in the life'. Providing paperwork, completing set pieces of Direct Work if needed by the social worker to support finding a new long term home.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must have:

Relevant paid or unpaid experience of working with young people within a social care setting or similar.

Experience of behavioural work with children / young people and their carers.

Experience and understanding the needs of children in care & experience and understanding of working with children in care.

Ability to relate with children, young people, parents and other professionals.

Ability to work with a range of professionals and engage in Multi-disciplinary work

Able to produce clear, accurate records and reports.

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.

In addition, we also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the selection process.
