A note from our Head of Fundraising

From the second you arrive on the beautiful grounds here at the hospice you can feel how special this place is.

The gardens and facilities are lovely, but it's the people that make the biggest impact.

All of the clinical and support services staff share a caring, nurturing and supportive strength meaning that the patients we help and their loved ones, feel at ease and know we are there for them, whatever they need.

The feedback we receive from the local people who use our services is always so heartening to hear - knowing that when going through the most difficult situation, the hospice has provided not just excellent specialist care but also vital emotional and spiritual support to the patients and also their family and friends.

I joined the team in November 2021 and can honestly say I've never worked in such a wonderful environment.

Within fundraising we work hard and we strive to do our best and exceed targets but at the same time we all support each other, collaborating and being innovative in our approaches.

We all get stuck in and help each other out, and quite frankly we're quite a noisy bunch but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Many in the team are quite new and fundraising is growing, meaning that we're all helping to shape the future of the different fundraising strands and how we can support each other's targets and raise as much money as possible to support the vital work of this hospice.

We'd love to join you in our team

Stephanie Lawless, Head of Fundraising
