Job overview:


As a NMC registered nurse or HCPC registered AHP or NIHR accredited CRP (or working towards), you will be responsible for leading the Acute Research Delivery Team (ARDT) within the Northern Care Alliance Salford Care Organisation.

You will ensure clinical trials are delivered to an exemplary standard having patient/customer safety and satisfaction at the centre of your practice.

You will be responsible for the direct line management of the ARDT, ensuring their professional development and supporting personal development alongside the management of day to day operational duties.

Main duties of the job:


Research & Innovation are looking for a motivated and effective Research Delivery Team Lead with a 'can do' attitude and an eye for detail; they will need to take ownership and delivery of their work with a desire to develop their research and leadership skills.


Leading a Research Delivery Team within the Northern Care Alliance, delivering a portfolio of clinical trials, you will oversee and lead a multi-disciplinary team of research nurses, practitioners and assistants.

You will work closely with the wider R&I infrastructure, ensuring a collaborative approach to workforce management ensuring an agile response is taken to the needs of the service.


You should be organised, able to prioritise and demonstrate initiative, within the ethically approved confines of clinical trial protocols and Good Clinical Practice; able to thrive on challenges and be an effective and motivated leader.

You will achieve national and local trial and portfolio specific targets and be responsible for implementing and developing recruitment strategies to ensure these are met.

  • Experience of leading multiple complex clinical trials
  • Ability to coordinate workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care
  • Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrable evidence of leadership skills
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Ability to manage multiple portfolios of work concurrently and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to travel within geographical location
  • GCP certification
