My client is currently hiring for a OS Patching & Vulnerability Remediation Engineer to work on a project within the public sector.

6 Month Contract - £ Inside IR3- Full Remote (occasional travel for meetings) - SC Cleared


This is an opportunity to join the Vulnerability Analysis and Remediation team for OS patching & Vulnerability remediation, this will be across a number of disciplines including Windows, Virtual platforms, UNIX and End User devices.

You will work with the client account teams and 3rd line BAU teams to understand the impact to vulnerability remediation whilst also following change management processes and implementing changes through to completion.

PMSO currently supports in excess of 6000 Windows, 3000 Unix based servers, a significant number of EUD's & Databases, petabytes of storage and thousands of network devices and links


Vulnerability management is the process of staying on top of vulnerabilities so the fixes can be more frequent and effective, almost anything can become a vulnerability and thus a liability to network security.

A member with a keen eye for automation would be beneficial to the team.

This is a key role that needs a reliable, resourceful person, capable of showing initiative, with the appropriate skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently when required.


Skill set requires:

  • Experience with vulnerability remediation
  • Experience with OS Security patching
  • Knowledge of Windows (Server and EUDs) and UNIX operating systems
  • Experience in using a number of patching tools including but not limited to SCCM, WSUS, WSUS Offline, Images
