Our vision is that the Student Wellbeing Adviser role at the University of Cambridge will be distinct, exciting and rewarding.

You will join a supportive, dynamic team environment in which to practice their exceptional skills as student wellbeing practitioners, and will benefit from opportunities to develop and contribute to the strategic objectives of our mental health change programme.


The Student Wellbeing Adviser will deliver assessment, triage, referrals and 'one-at-a-time' wellbeing support for students accessing University Student Support services, consolidating our stepped care approach.

You will offer advice and professional expertise in preventative approaches to student-facing staff within Colleges, Faculties and Departments.

The team will serve as a key link within the collegiate university for a developing network of student wellbeing practitioners, working cohesively and collaboratively to inform the University's continuous development in the area of student mental health and wellbeing.

Additionally, the Student Wellbeing team will work to enhance proactive wellbeing support, initiatives and communications for students including:


  • Postgraduate taught and research students
  • LGBTQ+ students
  • Global majority students
  • Careexperienced and estranged students
