    Job Description Are you a skilled and highly motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer?
    Are you looking for a steady and consistent, Monday – Friday (Double Days Shift Pattern - No Nights)?

    We are currently recruiting for an Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturer at their site near York.

    As Maintenance Engineer on-site you will help ensure the factory is kept running at all times, whilst always keeping an eye out for any improvements that can be made to improve overall efficiency.

    To resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production.

    • To complete all maintenance activities on time as planned.
    • To provide technical support for capital projects and improvement activity.
    • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer – ideally gained within a food manufacturing or an FMCG environment.
    • Competent at completing reactive and planned maintenance within a fast moving, pressurised, manufacturing environment.
    • Ability to work with other internal staff and external contractors to understand faults within the machinery.
    • Comfortable working in a food environment.

    Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ / BTEC / HNC / City & Guilds etc.) / Time Served Apprenticeship (preferably manufacturing).


    • Knowledge of electrical engineering including PLCs, control panels, single & three phase, installations etc.
    • The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, circa £40,000-45,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus benefits.
