Description

We are looking for an experienced Buyer join our medium-sized main contractor in North-West London, specialising in construction refurbishments and fit-out in London and the wider area.

The role holder will work within our expanding procurement team and be responsible for:

Identifying and evaluate potential suppliers.
Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors.
Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and seek new partnerships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
Analyse project requirements and create procurement plans.
Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies.
Obtain quotes, review specifications, and select appropriate suppliers.
Ensure that procured materials and equipment meet quality standards.
Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues related to product quality.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other relevant documentation.
Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and potential disruptions.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
Communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment between procurement and project goals.
Experience in the construction industry and an understanding of construction materials, labour, and plant hire.
Sound negotiating skills in order to obtain the best deals.
Excellent Computer Skills
Good mathematical ability.
Cando attitude and keen to work as part of and potentially lead a growing team.

This is a permanent, full time role direct with us. We are currently interviewing on an ongoing basis so start can be ASAP. Salary negotiable dependant on experience and skillset.

Salary:
£40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
