Description

Starting in 1901 and incorporated in 1977 as Pearsons Glass Limited, our family business has gone from strength to strength, maintaining the continual investment in our facilities, machinery and staff.

Our 65+ strong team now consists of specialists in finance, I.T, logistics, production, engineering, marketing and much more.

We are seeking an experienced furnace operator to join our glass toughening team.

Experience and skills must include:

Responsibility for all aspects of the glass tempering process from start-up, shutdown, programming the furnace according to glass specification as well as quality inspection of the finished product.

Experience in handling large pieces of glass safely and efficiently

Awareness of safety protocol and emergency procedures

Ability to follow instructions and complete paperwork, labelling and budding correctly.

Shifts are earlies, lates and nights (supplement paid) on a rota basis
