Overview
QA and DevOps Lead - Up to £55,000 - Richmond (2 days a week on site) - Start ASAP

As the product evolves and transitions into live service, you will have ownership for managing deployments and monitoring the DevOps pipeline to identify opportunities for further improvement and to recognise and mitigate risks.

You will plan and oversee quality assurance activities to ensure that the software is rigorously tested, defects are resolved and that the final product meets defined quality criteria.

This will involve engaging with developers, testers and other resourcesboth in the UK and offshore.

Essential

Over 3 years' practical experience focused on DevOps and associated quality assurance in a software development context.
Experience with implementing and rolling out a DevOps pipeline.
Practical experience using scripting and thirdparty tools to support development, continuous integration and delivery, including:
Source code control (Bitbucket, Github, etc.)
Orchestration of a pipeline using automation tools (e.g. using AWS Step Functions or Kubernetes)
Application and security monitoring (e.g. using Amazon CloudWatch and AWS Security Hub)
Requirements and issue management (Jira, etc.)
Test management (QMetry, etc.)
Automated testing (Python unittest, SoapUI, Postman, Selenium, etc.)
Proactive in proposing enhancements to the pipeline and testing processes to improve efficiency and promote quality.
A solid understanding of functional and nonfunctional testing practices in software development.
Structured in your approach to work and adept in evidencing how process has been followed.
An excellent communicator, sharing knowledge and demonstrating thought leadership.
