THE ROLE

  • Assist with the development and delivery of action plans for the communities you serve, ensuring resident satisfaction and improved outcomes.
  • Coordinate and contribute to multidiscipline, multiagency groups to resolve local issues proactively and reactively.
  • Proactively deal with all aspects of tenancy from sign up, support during tenancy and terminations including transfers, exchanges, abandoned properties, conditions matters and temporary rehousing.
  • Ensure new tenants are aware of their tenancy providing them with advice and guidance on all aspects of their tenancy and local community.
  • Provide a range of services to help and support tenants with their duties under the tenancy agreement.
  • Ensure all tenants comply with the terms of their tenancy agreement taking swift action when breeches occur.
  • Take swift formal action when breeches occur within the community.
  • Deal with and issue fixed penalty notices.
  • Work with colleagues across the Council and South Tyneside Homes to coordinate relevant activity in the local area.
  • Understand fully the relevant performance indicators in your area, and support activity that will drive up performance ensure that community standards are met.
  • Assist with attracting external funding to support the delivery of projects for the community you serve.
  • Support the Area Manager to attend CAFs and other forums to report on local activity, performance and outcomes.
  • Support the development and planning of consultation and engagement activities within the local area.
  • Support the Area Manager where necessary by attending strategic partnership meetings to update partners on local activity, performance and outcomes.
  • Deal efficiently and effectively to complaints, analysing trend information to drive service improvements.
  • Utilising other feedback from residents, elected members and community groups to drive service improvements.

Full-time, Temporary contract


Salary:
£14.44 per hour

  • Day shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • SOUTH SHIELDS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
