An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Children and Communities Librarian to join our forward thinking West Berkshire Libraries team, developing partnerships with local organisations and other stakeholders to promote and extend the library service offer.


We are looking for a qualified or chartered Librarian educated to degree level, with knowledge of current best practice in public libraries.

They will be proactive, able to develop ideas to improve the library service, with an innovative approach and an acceptance of change.

Having excellent IT and communication skills is an important part of the role.


This post has a hybrid working style, with 50% of time spent working in our libraries, and the remainder of the time working from home - in line with current Council policy and once induction period has been completed.
