An exciting opportunity at a senior level has arisen in the Implementation and Infrastructure Team at West Berkshire Council.

The team is currently focusing on funding infrastructure through developer contributions and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and we are seeking to recruit to this post to assist in the management and delivery of CIL


As the Council's Principal Developer Contributions Officer, you will be responsible for the continued implementation of the Council's Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) as well as planning obligations through S106 agreements.

You will have responsibility for ensuring the collection and spending of CIL is monitored effectively and importantly, assist the Team Leader in reviewing the Council's CIL charging schedule and infrastructure delivery plan.


This post will assist in providing an essential co-ordinating role between the Development and Planning Service and infrastructure providers within and outside the Council, ensuring improved co-ordination between the delivery of new development and the provision of additional infrastructure requirements emerging through the Local Plan.

You will need to be someone that relishes a challenge, has a keen eye for detail and is self-motivated.

You will have a proven record in managing the Community Infrastructure Levy as well as managing a small team on a daily basis and experience of liaising with parishes and town councils.

Added to this, you will have excellent organisational skills, a good understanding of IT systems along with strong numerical, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
