Vacancy Description

We have a vacancy for a Property Taxation Inspector, to work within a busy team responsible for the taxation of properties for Council Tax and Business Rates.

The duties will involve:

Making regular site inspections for all new build properties to ensure that they are included on the relevant rating lists.
The monitoring of all properties where the owners have been granted planning permission to alter and improve their properties.
The inspection of empty properties to confirm entitlement to appropriate exemptions.
Visiting taxpayers in their homes to establish entitlement to Council Tax Disabled Person Relief.

The role of a Property Taxation Inspector is diverse and you will be in contact with a variety of people and developers.

You should therefore possess excellent communication skills.

You will need to have good organisational skills and the ability to be self-motivating as a lone worker.
