We are looking for an Insights & Intelligence Partner - Retail (Maternity Cover) to lead across business intelligence and analytics, supporting Oxfam to achieve our ambitious retail transformation strategy.

What you'll be doing:

In this role, you will provide business insight and intelligence support to Retail teams (e.g. Retail Operations, Retail Marketing, Ecommerce, Volunteering etc), partnering with them to use data and insights to inform their work.

You will use a range of data sources to identify effective tactics and strategies for specific business problems and turn these into actionable insights and to support our audience understanding objectives.


You will design and report on Key Performance Indicators, building reporting dashboards and data queries across a range of software solutions and platforms (including web analytics).


You'll have:


  • A high level of numeracy and analytical thinking, the ability to use data mining, statistical testing and modelling tools and techniques and an appetite to learn new professional skills.
  • Able to express complex technical information to nontechnical staff in an understandable manner, including using data visualisation.
  • Experience of managing the design and delivery of insight projects, with a successful approach to workload management and prioritisation.
  • Ability to influence colleagues to bring about required changes and improvements in business practices. A positive, solutionsfocused team member that is proud to support colleagues to succeed.
  • Knowledge and understanding of supporter/ customer relationship management, direct marketing and digital marketing practices. Knowledge of CRM and web analytics concepts, activities and terminology.
  • Experience of using analysis software including Microsoft Power BI, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and Microsoft Azure. Excellent SQL coding skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the retail landscape and an interest in high street and online retail, especially the second hand market.
