Post Title: Prevention Officer (MASH)

Grade 9 £14,634 - £16,038 per annum (18.5 hours per week)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Prevention Officer to be based in our MASH team in Bury.

You would be working in conjunction with the Youth Offending Prevention Team and the role would include providing guidance to partners in dealing with safeguarding issues related to Youth Offending Prevention and to contribute to the work and decision making in the MASH to ensure Prevention related services (YJS/GMP) are supported in both consultation and referral of children.

We are a dedicated and hard working team that has a clear aim to prevent and reduce the number of children and young people from entering the Criminal Justice System.

We work in partnership across Bury with schools, Children's Social Care, Health Services and the Third Sector, to contribute to the best possible outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Normal hours of work are 18.5 hours per week. Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work flexibly outside of these hours to meet service need.

The post is fixed term until March 2025.
