The Opportunity
The post-holder will be the leading expert for the organisation on national and regulatory data and reporting frameworks for Children's Services, including children's social care and safeguarding and to ensure compliance with these.
This role will be responsible for providing a sustained stimulus for service improvement and accountability within Children's Services.
This will be achieved through a combination of, measuring and assessing performance and information, providing critical challenge and support to services and providing high-quality intelligence to improve the quality of outcomes.
You will be the first point of contact for this area, providing advice to the Corporate Director, Directors and Heads of Service, consulting with other key stakeholders across the council and partners.

About You
- In depth knowledge of children's social care, SEND and Education service areas and performance and data relevant to statutory and operational performance indicators
- Significant experience, understanding and working knowledge of children's service practices to provide high support and high challenge as well as systems and analytical skills, adding capacity and business knowledge to the service.
- Understanding of Children's Social Care ICT systems (such as Liquid Logic, Framework I, Care First) working alongside with System Administrators.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Evidence of ability to build and manage effective and resilient relationships inside and outside of the organisation
- Advanced skills and understanding of the collection, recording and analysis of electronic and other data, identifying issues and able to prepare, plan and implement strategic solutions.
