We are recruiting a
HSE Advisor at our Head Office in
Hebburn to strengthen safety, health, and environmental practices for our workforce and stakeholders
- *Although this role will be based at Hebburn, it will involve travel across the UK to other business locations as required. This role will be responsible for supporting our Hebburn HQ, regional depots, and off-site activities at third party locations._

Specific Responsibilities:


  • Support operational departments in ensuring COSHH compliance.
  • Assist with and/or complete regular formal safety inspections and internal audits.
  • Coordinate occupational hygiene monitoring, including noise and air quality assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative and other requirements.
  • To provide expert, professional health and safety advice, guidance, and support to all.
  • Support HR in delivering H&S inductions, including manual handling and DSE training.
  • Participate in health and safety committees and cross functional working groups.
  • Prepare and communicate toolbox talks, safety alerts, and internal news.
  • Support in the investigation of accidents, near misses and incidents to establish root cause, identify corrective actions and potential improvement opportunities.
  • Support operational departments in the ongoing monitoring of employee exposure to vibration and noise, providing guidance on exposure limits and implementation of proportionate control measures.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Essential_
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Recognised health and safety qualification, such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate as a minimum.
  • Recognised environmental qualification such as NEBOSH or IEMA Environmental Certificate.
  • Membership of a professional body such as IOSH or IEMA.
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong communicator and the ability to positively influence others.
  • Preferred_
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • CSCS card and / or Quarry Passport holder.
  • Previous experience of working to internationally recognised standards including ISO 4500
  • DSE assessor qualified (or willing to complete training on taking on the role).
  • Manual handling trainer qualified (or willing to complete training on taking on the role).

Pay:
£40,000.00-£45,000.00 per hour
