The role:

  • This role offers the opportunity to actively shape security strategy, design processes and procedures, and influence decisionmakers with the aim of bringing all these elements together in a dynamic and challenging environment. We shape the future do you want to be part of it?


In your function as IT Security Operations Expert, you will be responsible for day-to-day activities in the field of IT security.

This will involve investigating security incidents, assessing threats and vulnerabilities and analysing risks present in the internal and external environments to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and IT services throughout the AIXTRON Group.


Your responsibilities:

  • Respond to IT security alerts raised by external platforms using available tools to investigate, triage, and escalate as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for vulnerability management, including reporting and tracking the implementation of suitable countermeasures within the wider IT team as well as providing help and guidance as needed
  • Support and execute penetration tests, develop threat scenarios and carry out threat hunting
  • Support the implementation of the ISMS specifications, the underlying processes and accompanying internal and external audits in addition to continuous improvement of security guidelines and standards

Your profile:

  • Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles to balance business needs with security.
  • Experience in the development and documentation of security policies and processes
  • Skilled in analyzing security events from client devices, servers, firewalls, NDS / NPS
  • Experience with EDR solutions e.g. Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Crowdstrike; proxy technologies, e.g. Cisco Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) Umbrella and cloud network security; e.g. in Office 365, Azure or AWS is an advantage.
  • Analytical thinking, quick comprehension and an independent and flexible way of working
  • Solutionoriented style of working
  • Team player with very good communication skills
  • Desire to learn and develop as well as being openminded
