Paediatric Diabetes Administrator Band 3 20hrs


The Paediatric Diabetes Team are looking to appoint a motivated ,enthusiastic individual who has excellent communication and organisational skills with a desire to work within our small team and assist us to develop our service.

Working hours are Mon to Friday 09:00-13:00 with a degree of flexibility available if required.

Applicant to have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word documents.

We are looking for the successful applicant to start after end of June 2024.


Please note that part of the recruitment process for this role will involve participation in an admin test prior to interview.


To coordinate and support the Paediatric diabetes team with administrative and to enable the medical team to provide an organised and effective service to Paediatric diabetes caseload.

To act as a senior point of contact to ensure that all enquiries are effectively
managed and resolved within a prompt timescale ensuring that all relevant
team members are kept informed as necessary and an appropriate record is
maintained.

Ensure that on a day to day basis the administrative tasks required within
the department are undertaken and up to date.

Assist in the smooth running of the department ensuring that filing, stores
ordering etc are up to date and correct.

Work with the Paediatric diabetes nurses to help coordinate activities
including education days and social activities.

To help coordinate diabetes education sessions for schools, including
booking rooms, inviting teachers and liaising with nurses.

To be responsible for entering data onto the Diamond Database and help
retrieve data for the National Paediatric Diabetes Audit (NPDA).

To attend team meetings and other multi-disciplinary meetings. To compose and transcribe minutes and distribute as required, ensuring actions points are raised and completed
