FTTP Installation engineer - Hull

Up to £34,000 p.a + Vehicle & Tools
Alecto recruitment are currently assisting a Telecommunications company with projects based in Hull. A company who are on a mission to simplify technology to connect the real world with the digital world to improve the way people live

You will be working with their fibre network planning team to install new fibre connections to residential and commercial customers (L2C) on a FTTP network.

This will involve blowing fibre and working at heights. You will need good customer facing skillsand able to read and digest Job Packs.


You will be confident in;

  • Working at height from ladders and MEWPs
  • Fibre Splicing
- the record keeping and communication of the work completed.

  • Working to timescales

Essential qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
To be successful in this role it is essential you have experience in:

  • Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of installation documentation
  • Understanding of chamber and duct construction
  • Fusion splicing
  • Understanding of FTTP and FTTC methodologies
  • Experience of achieving critical deadlines
  • Ability to identify engineering risks and associated solutions

  • N34 Ribbon Fibre
  • Fibre Ribbon Splicing

  • SA001 Safety Overhead including joint user pole

In return my client is offering a Full time, permanant position paying up to £34,000 per annum + all the equipment required to fulfil the role.
