Job Title: 1:1 TA - Year 5 Child

Are you a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a positive impact on a child's education? We are seeking a compassionate and skilled 1:1 TA to support a Year 5 child with challenging behaviour at our school in Wavertree.

Responsibilities:

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one support to a Year 5 student with challenging behaviour, ensuring their engagement in learning activities.

Behaviour Management: Implement effective strategies to manage challenging behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with the class teacher and other school staff to create and implement personalised learning plans.

Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to the student, fostering a positive and trusting relationship to encourage academic and social development.

Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents, updating them on the student's progress and behaviour.

Record Keeping: Keep accurate and detailed records of the student's behaviour, progress, and any interventions implemented.

Adaptability: Be flexible and adaptable in responding to the evolving needs of the student, adjusting strategies as necessary.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children with challenging behaviour is essential.
Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs are preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and development of the student.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
