An international Lloyd's Broker based in the City of London are now seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join them in a Broker Technician role to help drive efficiencies in business processing and supporting brokers in business production.


This is an excellent opportunity where you will be working directly with the directors of the business in developing operating models, business strategies and utilising various software such as Total Objects and our own in-house software in obtaining managementinformation reports.


The Business Support role is a full 360-role, offering exposure of Lloyd's of London, UK, European & international clients, whilst working with brokers and directors within the company.

You will be responsible for/trained to deal with: Run daily/weekly/monthly MI reports and record daily operational performance.

  • Produce adhoc reports to analyse performance to identify opportunities and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Assist brokers in completing client presentations/proof reading.
  • Producing quotation, midterm adjustment and endorsement docs.
  • Filing client data into Total Objects.
  • Assist running renewal reports and client letters.
  • Understand the fundamental compliance and business operations of Retail and Wholesale business and implement procedures where required.
  • Understanding Lloyd's placements, slip production and Xchanging reconciliation, PPL / trouble shooting.
  • Managing lineslip Boudreaux with partner insurers.
  • Assist the broking desk with any queries relating to compliance, internal protocols, and general guidelines.
  • Assist with finance reconciliations with existing and new clients.
  • Supporting the international growth of the business, across Europe and North America, such as Lloyd's and LITA with a view to understand processes and compliance standards that we must adhere to.
What you will need to be considered: Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook etc)

  • Ideally able to use Total Objects (not essential as full training given)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are a must.
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken.
  • Able to work under pressure, within a team and independently.

Advantageous to have:

  • Degree qualified /CII qualified.
  • At least 2 year's experience in a similar role (again not essential as training can be provided)


You will be rewarded with a starting salary of £30-35k, dependant on experience plus company benefits such as Private Healthcare and Private Dental care plans.
