    Description

    VAT Accountant Position Available

    Handle is thrilled to collaborate with a leading company in the music industry to find a VAT Accountant to join their team in central London. This is a fantastic chance for an individual with solid VAT expertise and strong financial accounting skills to be part of a global music corporation.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Tracking touring stock movements for ECSL/Intrastat reporting
    • Ensuring accurate and timely submission of all VAT return filings
    • Timely VAT-related payments processing
    • Reconciliation of VAT Control accounts and journal entries
    • Collaborating with external VAT service providers for return submissions
    • Supporting Tax Authority/Internal/External audits & queries
    • Assisting with VAT registrations in new EU territories
    • Supporting Customs procedures
    • Various VAT tasks and ad hoc projects
    • Identifying process improvements to enhance VAT function efficiency
    • Preparing, analyzing, submitting & reconciling VAT Returns for the UK and European-wide Touring & Retail businesses
    • EC Sales and Acquisitions List & Intrastat reporting as needed

    Requirements:

    • Proficient in VAT reporting
    • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Proactive with a can-do attitude and a drive to progress
    • Organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Team player mindset
    • Excel and Word proficiency
    • Ideal candidate will have system knowledge of Navision; SAP knowledge is a plus
    • Keen on development and gaining exposure in the dynamic VAT environment
    • Opportunity for VAT training and qualifications
