Van, this is what your day-to-day will look like and how your contribution will add value to our business, in addition to some extra relevant tasks as required:

Supervising the loading of the vehicle to make sure that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage
Transporting, unloading and delivering goods in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage or loss
Carrying out multidrop deliveries in a safe and timely manner
Determining the best routes within a local area taking into consideration traffic congestion, delays, diversions to adhere to time and route schedules as far as possible
Driving the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, complying with relevant transportation and road regulations at all times.

Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect the customers property, If in doubt consult with the customer or operations manager and use disclaimers if necessary

Obtaining delivery confirmation from customers
Making sure that the vehicle is maintained in both a safe operating condition and to a minimum standard of cleanliness
Ensure with loader that the load is correct against customers orders
Comply with fuel directives from the operations department
Complete daily inspection sheet
Attend essential training in order to carry out the driver role.
To provide support in the warehouse as required by the operations manager

We are looking for the following characteristics and skills from the
Van Driver we employ.

Able to work with a high degree of accuracy
Committed to learn and progress within the branch
Effective communication skills
Strong customer focus
Manual dexterity lifting/carrying/moving heavy items (within a safe weight range)
Making multidrop deliveries
A team player with a high level of dedication

The following licence/certification/membership is required in order to work in the
Van Driver role.

UK Driving Licence (Category B.)
