  • 15Mar2024 I have a new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in Nottinghamshire. This is a specialist role that requires a strong manufacturing background. In return you will receive a very attractive salary of £40,000
  • £45,000 per annum
with bonus opportunities, life insurance and more. As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for working with the engineering teams to improve performance, product sourcing and overall quality along with the following responsibilities. Responsibilities:
  • Create value stream mapping for both production and supplier processes
  • Provide technical support to wider departments such as R&D and Procurement
  • Assist in supplier corrective actions
  • Conduct supplier screening, capability, and sourcing activities
  • Assist in developing and improving processes for documentation, and systems
  • Management of the supplier quality program
  • To be successful in the role of Manufacturing Engineer you will have been working in similar role in a manufacturing environment as well as the following requirements.
  • Requirements
  • Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Six Sigma / Lean qualifications desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings / GD&T
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
  • Experience of working with plastics/thermoplastics or carbon fiber products
  • Experience of dealing with suppliers in a production or manufacturing engineering environment
