Our client are a reputable family run Chartered Certified practice in NN4, Gold Certified Xero Champion, offering Cloud based Accountancy & HR services.

We currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Accountant who will already be undertaking AAT level 3 or 4 and have career aspirations to ACCA.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Observing, learning, and understanding a wide range of duties and processes, whilst under the instruction of skilled colleagues
- To be able to demonstrate these skills and processes as your training progresses, undertaking tasks as instructed and increasing your overall contribution to the team
- Undertaking appropriate in house and external college training
- Learning how to complete VAT returns
- Learning how to prepare year end accounts and selfassessment tax returns
- Learning how to undertake bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
- Learning payroll duties
- Becoming a confident user of our software packages
- Microsoft, Digita, ONVIO, XERO etc.
- Understanding the importance of client liaison and client confidentiality
- Learning and understanding the importance of health and Safety in the workplace
- General adhoc duties
Essential requirements:
- BTEC/ A Level standard education preferably, with good GCSE results in Maths, English and ICT
- Confident IT user and experience of MS Office software packages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce high quality, accurate and detailed work
- Understand Data Protection and confidentiality issues
- Looking for an exciting career in Accountancy Practice

Hours and pay:
- Working hours available are Monday to Friday 9am5.30pm, 37.5 hours per week
- Initial salary will be £18£21,000.00 P.A. dependant on experience plus study package
- Commencing annual leave for fulltime working is 30 days including bank/public holidays, these increase with service
