We are currently supporting a lady in the S8 area of Sheffield to recruit a patient and calm PA to support her in her every day life. This lady is very independent in lots of ways and she has a son who s in secondary school. She is a softly spoken lady with a talent for art, she also loves nature and the outdoors.

This lady has a diagnosis of autism and ADHD and needs help to keep on top of things. She can become quite overwhelmed without regular support and the focus of the role will be to help her around the with practical tasks such as batch cooking, cleaning and DIY. You may also support the lady to go through correspondence, make and attend appointments or look at employment and activity opportunities. Underpinning all of this will be to be a companion and a person to rely and talk to.

Due to her diagnosis, this lady can find social interaction and relationships with others difficult to navigate at times. You will need to be observant and responsive to her needs which may change on a daily basis.

Essential Criteria:

Have a genuine desire to enhance the life of this adult and be responsive to her needs
Ability to learn from the lady and existing PA's
Be respectful in the family home
Be creative, with a kind and honest approach
Willing to invest in getting to know this person well and commit to providing the best support
A resilient nature

You may also have hobbies and interests you share with this lady

Hours:
Some flexibility on this but ideally some time on Mondays and Fridays. Between 5 and 8 hours per day. Hours and times can be negotiated for the right person.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 10-16 per week

Salary:
£9.50 per hour
