Stanton House is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to start ASAP at an internationally leading, Iconic Fitness company in London, on a 6-9 month contract.

This business is globally recognised with an impressive revenue growth and is continuingto grow at a significant rate.

The role offers a good blend of commercial finance and technical reporting and so they are seeking an all-rounder to provide support to their commericial business unit and corporate accounting team.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process month end journal entries, accruals for the countries. Secure proper approval of entry per company standard procedures.
  • Fixed Assets monitoring and depreciation runs.
  • Prepare and process all intercompany invoices between multiple entities.
  • Monthly Intercompany GL account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month end eliminations
  • Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations monthly per company standard process.
  • Respond to questions regarding journal entries or balance sheet reconciliations by Accounting or FP&A staff.
  • Assist with the development of SOX compliant documentation of internal controls.
  • Support internal & external annual Audit inquiries.
  • Prepare EMEA countries VAT monthly returns and Intrastat reporting.
  • Other quarterly and yearly indirect tax reporting & fillings.
  • Work closely with KPMG for submission.
  • Settle batched credit cards that have been cleared and deposited.
  • Settle checks that have cleared the bank as well as bank transfers recieved in the bank.
  • Prepare biweekly/monthly direct debit batches.
  • Monthend journal entries to record bank transactions.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations and documentation per company standards.

To be suitable for this role you must have the following:

  • Newly Qualified or part qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • _Preferred_
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 4+ years' experience working in an accounting team
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
  • Coupa and SAP experience preferred
