Job Title: English Teacher at The Hope Service in Epsom

Location: Epsom, Surrey

About the Company: The Hope Service in Epsom is a unique and outstanding multi-disciplinary service for young people aged 11-18, dedicated to supporting individuals with complex mental health, emotional, social, and behavioural needs through a collaborative approach.

Starting salary of £31,350 - £47,839 per annum + SEN Allowance of £2,539
Dynamic opportunity for a qualified teacher to work in a multi-agency setting
Unique service providing vital support to young people in the community
Outstanding grade in the last Ofsted inspection
Dedicated team of professionals including social workers, nurses, therapists, and psychologists

Responsibilities:

Preventing Tier 4 hospital admissions for young people with mental health difficulties
Avoiding out-of-county placements for young individuals
Supporting young people with tailored therapeutic, educational, and social programs
Assisting young people in accessing employment, education, or training
Teaching English at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with a focus on individualized learning
Providing structured therapeutic activities and group therapy sessions

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status with an understanding of the English curriculum
Experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

Development Opportunities:
