Morgan McKinley are recruiting for a Head of Tax on behalf of a leading for-profit education company in central London working as a stand-alone tax counsel and reporting directly into the Head of Fina
This
Head of Tax role will be based in west London, ideally suited to a Tax professional with 10+ years experience and who has set up new tax teams in previous roles.
As this role has a
Dutch-parent company, it is
essentialthat the applicant be
fluent in Dutchas this role will involve both
Dutch & UK tax compliance.
Salary & Benefits:
- £100,000-£120,000

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified ACA or CTA with ideally 58 years experience
- Needs
fluent Dutch to deal with their tax compliance in the Netherlands - Substantial experience in Corporate Tax
- Ideally have exposure to Transfer Pricing & Corporate Tax preparation and advisory
- Must be commercially minded with ability to find addedvalue in role
Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact for all taxrelated queries
- Responsible for maintaining relations with HMRC & Dutch Revenue service
- Within the organisation, raise tax awareness by engagement with other areas of expertise and build relationships with key staff
- Preparation of group and entity tax figures and disclosures for inclusion in the statutory accounts on an FRS 101 and FRS 102 basis, in conjunction with others, on an interim and annual basis.
- Preparation of tax forecasts and effective tax rates
- Review and advise on the tax rates and cashflows related to capital expenditure
- Take ownership of the group's corporation tax and Indirect tax compliance.
- UK tax legislation & Dutch tax compliance and ensure that appropriate controls and data integrity checks are adopted and implemented, and that process notes are kept up to date.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and accounting for direct and indirect taxes
- Provide tax training through presentations to ensure compliance with tax requirements
