Ibk is a community based, not-for-profit social enterprise with over 20 years' experience of providing Direct Payment Support to families, children and adults of all ages with a range of needs. We provide a bespoke matching service, finding the right PA for the right person


IBK are supporting a family, to help their 22 year old son who has Cerebral Palsy and is in a wheel chair.

The young man, in his own words wants to be '
treated with respect, the same as anyone his own age' and is in search to find a number of PAs who can support him to live the life he wants to live.


The PA's key aim will be to provide the social and practical support to enable the gentleman to live a more independent life as he chooses.

As well as preparing him light meals and drinks, along side keeping his room clean and tidy

Another responsibility includes personal care along with manual handling and assisted moving and handling. He also needs support with daily stretches and putting on his splints (training will be provided).


This confident young man loves playing sports and keeping fit, his hobbies include playing basketball, combat sports and going to the gym.

As well as watching movies and reading a marvel/DC comic. Additionally, he is most passionate about producing his own music on his laptop using specific software


More importantly, the role involves supporting him in the community to
access social activities, pursue his hobbies and interests and promote his independence in his day to day life.


Essential Criteria:


  • Have a genuine desire to enhance the life of this young adult and help him to explore new opportunities
  • Provide personal care in a manner that maintains this gents privacy and dignity
  • Ability to learn from the family and existing P.A's
  • Be respectful in the family home
  • Be creative, with a fun and honest approach
  • Willing to invest in getting to know this young person well and commit to providing the best support
  • A good sense of humour

Hours Available:


Mondays: 10am-8pm (10 hours)

Tuesdays: 10am-8pm (10 hours)

Other hours may also be available and some flexibility to cover holidays/ sickness is appreciated.
All hours are negotiable for the right person
