Due to continued growth, they are recruiting a Purchasing Associate to join their team. This post is based at their Operations Centre in Newton, Cambridge, reporting to the Purchasing Manager.
Key Purpose:
Progressing of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of material. Generation & distribution of Supply Chain reports. Processing Purchase requisitions in full adherence to purchasing processes & procedures. Execute all other pertinent tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:
As Purchasing Associate, your main responsibilities will include;
- Generating and distributing of key Supply Chain Reports.
- Overseeing a number of supplier accounts.
- Placing of purchase orders.
- Processing purchase requisitions via intranet
- Expediting and aligning material expectation to customer commitments.
- Maintaining and regularly updating item master data including specific data relating to compliance, import / export requirements, pricing, HS Codes and Country of Origin.
- Issuing of open order reports to suppliers weekly.
- Issuing of RFQs to suppliers and timely follow up of all RFQ requests.
- Liaising with the Quality Team in issuing, following up and closing out of Supplier NCMRs.
- Issuing Material Kits from Stores to Production
- Supporting Annual Stock Taking Activity
- Maintaining the Approved Vendors List and supporting compliance document requirements.
Key Skills and Experience:
CIPS qualification, or working towards this, is deemed advantageous.
