Full time, 35 hrs per week
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced impact professional with a keen interest in supporting our world-leading academics to extend the impact and influence of their research.
The Opportunity:
The role provides a high-level of support to the organisation and development of engagement and impact activities across HCA.
They will contribute to the development and implementation of the School's Research Impact Strategy, identifying opportunities for academic staff to use their research in public and commercial spaces, and promoting the development and integration of engagement with research within the School's wider engagement with external organisations.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent formal training, plus hands-on experience in a similar or related role(s)
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant HE engagement issues
- Ability to effectively translate and communicate research to a range of audiences, including academic, industry, policy makers and general public
- Excellent skills in presentation and communication across a variety of platforms, including a welldeveloped understanding of media and the web to promote, disseminate and monitor engagement with knowledge exchange and impact outputs and activities
- High level of initiative and excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to feed into, encourage and implement strategic decisions to support the evolving needs of HCA's academic community and development of activities to enhance impact of research.
