Description
We are looking for a Finance Administrator to provide maternity cover who can deliver a first-class financial support service. You will have responsibility for maintaining the financial records in an accurate and timely fashion.You will be an integral member of a small yet highly motivated and fast paced team, working alongside creative teams and contributing to all areas of the business.
LOCATION:
Manchester-based preferred (will consider applicants in Bristol). Hybrid office/home working with a minimum 1 day per week working from a Creative UK workspace.
SALARY:
up to £23,000 + benefits
CONTRACT:
Full time, Maternity cover fixed term February 2024 to February 2025 with scope to extend

REPORTS TO:
Senior Finance Manager
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Purchase Ledger
- Setting up new suppliers and customers on accounting system
- Managing purchase order system
- Matching all invoices and orders, coding and entering on accounting system
- Dealing with supplier enquiries and disputes regarding invoices and payments
- Monthend routines and reports, including preparation of journals
- Purchase ledger management and reconciling suppliers' statements
- Processing staff expense claims and credit card transactions
- Preparation of BACS and CHAPS payments
Sales Ledger
- Responsible for issuing all sales invoices in consultation with Finance Manager
- Inputting customer receipts
- Assist with debtor management & credit control
- Monthend routines and reports
Nominal Ledger
- Assist in production of adhoc financial reports
- Support the maintenance and reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register
- Work with the team to prepare information for the annual external audit
Cash Book and Bank Reconciliations
- Reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis
- Reconcile credit card receipts against bank statements monthly
- Update cashflow report weekly
Other
- Assist in development of financial systems to improve efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation
- Assist in maintenance of internal financial controls
- Maintain records and payments of grants and investments
- Prepare and upload direct debit collections
- Assist with preparation of external funder claims and collate evidence
- Staff training, new starter inductions and query resolution for all staff using the accounting system.
