A busy team in Surrey is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to bring their caring skills to a Residential Service in the Horley area.

In these challenging times, support workers and care coordinators are needed like never before. Your care worker skillscan make a real difference to this wonderful Residential Service.

This Waking Night Support Worker role in Horley comes with a salary of up to £20,800 along with excellent company benefits.

If you were already working in this Support Worker role, in your first week, you would have:

  • Provided personal, intellectual, social, emotional and physical support to service users
  • Kept appropriate records and monitoring residents to ensure their safety at all times
  • Helped your clients with their home management and finance skills
  • Carried out domestic tasks including cleaning, laundry, ironing, meal and snack preparation

You will be working alongside individual participants enabling them to develop their own individual skills and abilities so that they can achieve greater independence and autonomy.

This means you will need to be thorough in following individual care plans andwriting reports.

Specialist social work knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Previous mental health support worker, social work or clinical support worker experience
  • Willingness to complete the induction programme and care certificate.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, IT and communication skills
A First Aid at Work qualification or the willingness to train for it is also desirable.
