_ The Opportunity_
Leonardo offers a range of Apprenticeships from 2-4yrs.

across a variety of STEM and business routes, offering paid training, coupled with on the job learning that enables you to gain practical skills, experience and knowledge that sets up the best start to your career.

We offer competitive entry salaries from £14,000 to £20,500pa and fully support your academic learning through to qualifications, with salary increases as you progress.

Whether leaving School or College with GCSEs/Standards, A 'Levels/Highers (or equivalent) or in work and looking for a new career path, you are fully supported as you rotate within the business working on real-time projects alongside highly skilled professionals who are passionate about their work.

We support helping you settle in to your new location ensuring you are familiar with the team and have a warm welcome from day 1.

There is a member of our Apprentice team at each site, helping you progress, ensuring your study time is protected, enabling access to digital learning as well as opportunities to get involved with the local community and STEM projects, enhance many aspects of each programme.

What you will do

Our long established Leonardo facility in Basildon is responsible for the development of new technical solutions from concept, through design to manufacture and deployment.

As a Leonardo Technical Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to support us in many of those activities providing you with valuable experience in a range of tools and technologies.

If you like to be 'hands on' and fully involved in problem solving then you will enjoy working alongside our experts as we work through the technical challenges and practical problems of bringing new technology to life.

Our design offices, labs, virtual spaces and manufacturing facilities, filled with the people and equipment needed to explore what is possible, are an excellent opportunity to get to grips with some real 'tech.

Our Software Apprentices develop their skills over the full lifecycle of software engineering.

The Leonardo Technical Apprenticeship is a great opportunity to explore what you enjoy the most. Leonardo apprentices make a real contribution and gain valuable experience fit for a lifetime of interesting possibilities. For reasons of security, we cannot advertise everything we do.

We can say that many of our apprentices have continued with us and enjoyed many challenges over the years and some have moved on to very senior positions in industry.

You will enjoy being part of a team and have a responsible attitude to your contribution. You are organised about your work and commitments and will have achieved our entry grades. Perhaps you contribute outside of school or college and through this have wider accomplishments?

As a good communicator, you will be able to tell us about your passion for technology, how you solve challenges and why you think this could be the opportunity for you.

Entry Grades:
This role is not suitable for applicants with prior professional experience in software development.
