About the role
We are looking for
Safer Neighbourhoods Specialist on a permanent basis** to join our Safer Neighbourhoods team.
This role is based as a Merseyside - home based role, where there is no daily requirement to attend an office with the flexibility to attend as required.
The purpose of the role is to provide a consistent approach to community safety, blending prevention, diversion and enforcement in order to help communities deal with potential and actual anti-social behaviour (ASB).
- Provide an effective contact for customers reporting ASB, investigating and responding to all ASB complaints.
- Manage a caseload including initial assessment, investigation and legal recourse.
- Undertaking research and investigative opportunities for action and best practice and seek to maximise effective use of resources for safer neighbourhoods work.
- Make best use of legal resources, conducting court advocacy, making maximum use of in house resource and liaising with legal services providers where necessary.
What we require?
- Have knowledge of housing regulations/law and County Court rules and relevant Government legislation for tackling antisocial behaviour issues.
- Experience of developing partnership working with support agencies, local authorities and community groups.
- A good understanding of the social, economic and political context in the neighbourhoods in which we operate.
- Educated to GCSE standard or have equivalent qualification / experience.
