About the role


We have a unique opportunity for an e-Commerce Merchandiser to join our e-Commerce based at our
Fender EMEA head office in
East Grinstead Reporting to the e-Commerce Manager, EMEA, this role will drive Direct to Consumer sales growth via FMIC brand sites in European regions including France, Germany, Spain & Italy as well as future countries as we develop the eCommerce business in the EMEA territory.

Hybrid Working

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivering best in class content tailored for our digital channel.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce Manager EMEA & wider eCommerce, Marketing & Product teams to execute plans to meet revenue objectives.
  • Daytoday site operations in the EMEA region.
  • Localising all nonEnglish language site content including product listing pages, product detail pages, landing pages, web banners & the checkout funnel.
  • Executing the translations process with internal & external partners.
  • Regularly monitor inventory levels to ensure site merchandising is updated based on product availability.
  • Audit sites for improvement opportunities benefiting customers & the business.
  • Assist in the build & maintenance of on site promotions in multiple currencies.
  • Maintain regional promotional campaign material as well as upsell & recommendations.
  • Collaborate with CRM & digital marketing to create best in class marketing campaigns on our sites.
  • Assist with eCommerce pricing processes.
  • Regularly conduct web analytics reviews, deriving insights & actions to optimize the conversion funnel.
  • Incorporate best in class SEO practices into day to day merchandising.
  • Assist the Customer Service department with issues or queries relating to eCommerce.

Person Specification

  • Multilingual with English & another major European language.
  • Aware of musical instrument trends with particular knowledge of European markets.
  • Passionate about eCommerce & digital developments.
  • Conscientious & committed to providing best results.

Essential Criteria

  • 4+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing or similar function.
  • Experience in site merchandising and CMS tools within an eCommerce platform such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce etc.
  • At least bilingual with one major European language & English.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work on own initiative & be selfmotivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality & handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritise work & adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to problem solve and contingency plan.

Desirable Criteria

  • Multilingual with European languages are desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Experience with a CAT tool such as Trados, Memoq or Word
