About the Role


One of our Hemel Hempstead based clients are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager specialising in indirect products and services to join their highly successful and growing Team.


Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will lead the development, implementation and execution of their procurement approach for all activities across the business's indirect spend portfolio.


Playing a pivotal role in EBITDA contribution, you will work closely with leaders from across the business to establish need, drive category sourcing strategies and maximise commercial value.

Alongside this, you will manage their commercial relationshipswith suppliers across categories, ensuring that contracts and services continue to deliver the best value and standards.


With a keen eye for continuous improvement, you will also be accountable for identifying and executing new opportunities within their supply base.

This may also involve tender processes where necessary.

About You


You will be an experienced Procurement Manager with considerable experience and expertise in executing sourcing and procurement strategies that return substantial and sustainable value.

You will have solid experience from previous roles in category management in indirect products and services.


Communication is key in this role, and you should therefore be a strong communicator and negotiator, with the ability to develop great working relationships with both internal leaders and external suppliers.


You should also possess strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data, and build reports to share with stakeholders where necessary.

A Certificate in Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification would be considered advantageous. However, this isn't essential.

What would be more beneficial is your mindset, approach and ability to become fully involved.
