Accountabilities

  • Lead the audit process and organise the team to ensure the audit is closed out in a timely manner
  • Review consolidated and individual entity statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable legislation.
  • Drive the monthend close process to ensure deadlines are met and high standards maintained. Review and approval of calculations, reconciliations and schedules prepared by other members of the finance team.
  • Implement processes to deliver monthly reporting for new entities and consolidated group accounts including supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet and P&L review both at a subsidiary and group consolidation level with any month/month variance explained.
  • Oversee the Group consolidation process and ensure subsidiaries are accounting under Group policies.
  • Review and implement internal financial policies and procedures and monitor recognition across the group.
  • Review corporate tax returns and work with the tax team to ensure all tax deadlines are met.
  • Maintain the accounting system & chart of accounts, recommend improvements.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, completing monthly reviews and annual performance reviews.
  • Lead and manage key financial accounting projects and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support to other members of the finance team.
  • Model our core values and behaviours, leading by example and proactively addressing concerning behaviour under the GROW framework.
  • Be a leader within the finance team and a point of reference that consistently interacts with other departments/stakeholders.
  • Identify efficiency opportunities within your team and drive change.
  • Follow the processes and standard operating procedures in line with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for own development/learning and sharing skills and knowledge with team members.
  • Any other reasonable requests by management.
Measures of Success

  • High performance finance team.
  • Consistently hitting deadlines.
  • M/E routinely closed with all reviews completed and month on month variances explained.
  • Demonstrating the right behaviours, leadership and creating a positive and fun work environment where people are valued and we invest in their careers.
  • Enabling the business to make better financial decisions based on data and hold the business to account.
  • Ensure any regulatory deadlines are met & all historical financial reporting is up to date.

Requirements:

Must have

  • Member of a professional accountancy body (ACA, ACCA).
  • Experience managing a team and preparing consolidated group accounts.
  • Strong technical accounting abilities and sound working knowledge of current IFRS.
  • Experience in listed Group or large Group team.
  • Audit background or online gaming experience desirable.
  • Flexible and adaptable, capable of responding to changing requirements to support the business.
