Work From Home Partner - Liverpool, United Kingdom - Homes England

    Default job background
    Description

Working in the Affordable Housing Grant directorate, in a team with Ruth Ryan our Assistant Director of Delivery, the Head of Strategic Partners will play a critical role in the delivery of affordable housing grant funding programmes.

You will be joining our friendly and talented team, who are dedicated to partnership working to secure delivery of affordable housing across England.

In particular, this role will be focussed on leading delivery through the Strategic Partnership funding route and will manage a team of Senior Managers with their own partner portfolios.

Alongside this key responsibility, as a Head of within the delivery team and a member of the SLT in Affordable Housing Grants, you will engage across all funding routes and with the wider team to ensure continuous improvement of processes, influence future programme design and support a positive culture.

Ruth believes respect, honest and good quality communication and relationship development supports quick resolution of issues and challenges if they do arise.

Ruth believes in working in a collaborative way and values diversity in experience and perspective to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

Our day job is to ensure good stewardship of our grant funded programmes, with a need to ensure delivery in compliance with funding conditions and high quality reporting on performance and risks to delivery.

To do that you'll need to be used to "spinning several plates" at once with the ability to react quickly where issues arise and to shape solutions.

You'll be comfortable supporting the team and partners with complex programmes, aiming to support development delivery where possible whilst ensuring risk is captured and understood and assumptions are challenged to secure success.

This will include you needing to quickly digest and interpret data, both financial and related to delivery.

You will have a strong awareness of construction risk and risks that could be affecting affordable housing providers as a whole, not just in the development space.

This will include working with Ruth and the other Heads of in the team to support work across Affordable Housing Grant where needed and ensure we're operating efficiently and succession planning.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a team
