This vacancy is only open to existing North Somerset Council employees

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract:
Fixed term for 6 months
You will provide temporary cover for key service priorities.

Over the coming 6 months you will lead on the development of the service with key responsibilities including SRO role and leadership for:

- adoption of Active Travel Strategy Action Plans
- adoption of EV Strategy
- direction of Local Plan transport inputs and Planning Appeals

  • Transport Commissioning Transformation (ITU)
  • Tutshill Sluice scheme and launch planning
  • Active Travel Fund and Capability and Ambition Fund scheme development and delivery.
- lead and direct work on the ATF4 and LEVI bids.
- lead formulation of the Big Conversation, overarching transport narrative and commence work on JLTP- management and direction of the Transport Commissioning, Transport Policy and Sustainable and Active Travel teams.
