About the role
This position plays a key role in the ICT Contracts Team.

You will be working to improve our commercial relationships so we can support the services that are improving the lives of Hackney residents.


It's a varied role, supporting the procurement of ICT goods and services whilst also working with our contract managers and the ICT Traded Service to ensure we're getting the best value from our contracts and leveraging our supplier relationships.


You will assist fellow colleagues with the provision to ICT staff of advice and guidance on policy as well as internal standards and processes for the procurement, commissioning and management of externally supplied products and services as well as for project and portfolio management.


About you
You need to be able to demonstrate you have the following key skills:
The ability to provide a support service to users of ICT services in a customer focused and organised way, whilst ensuring that agreed service level agreements (SLA), policies and procedures are met


Procurement and supplier management experience in an ICT environment, obtaining quotes from suppliers, re-charging customers, raising invoices/purchase orders (experience of using the Council's Cedar system would be advantageous) and completing financial year requirements within agreed timeframes.

The ability to manage supplier and contractual information, whilst ensuring that supplier renewals are managed in a timely manner

  • Improving the quality of information on the ICT Contract Register and supporting procurers and contract manager in their role.

Where we work
We offer hybrid working.

You will be expected to come into our offices in the Hackney Service Centre to work with your team for a minimum of two days a month, however many of us prefer to come in more frequently.

Like many organisations, our hybrid arrangements are evolving and you may be expected to work from the office more frequently in future.
