Key responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • Be able to raise Purchase Orders to fulfil raw material requirements through the MRP system.
  • Raise Purchase Orders for non-stock items including generic items, advertising and consumables.
  • Able to negotiate prices with suppliers
  • Able to Liaise with Contracts Department to agree prices for items not currently in the supply chain.
  • Constantly review current pricing levels to competitiveness in the market.
  • Able to communicate with warehouse and accounts departments regarding invoice and delivery queries.
  • Ensure that a Purchasing Component Questionnaire is completed by all suppliers of new products and pass to Quality Control Department for evaluation.
  • Able to communicate effectively with freight forwarding agents regarding shipments to the UK.
  • To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above

Principal Relationships:


  • Accountable to - Commercial Manager
  • Responsible for - Purchase orders management and maintenance of Dynamics 365BC (ERP system)
  • Internal - works closely with peer group in own department and across all functions ensuring projects and procurement are delivered on time.
  • External - Liaise with suppliers to maintain stocks to required levels

Education and Experience:


  • Educated to A-level standard in literacy and numeracy
  • Previous experience of procurement and stock management
  • Ability to work as part of a team and by oneself.
  • Knowledge of MRP or similar stock/replenishment systems.
  • CIPS or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of the ISO13485 the MDD/MDR and medical devices (desirable but not essential).

  • Well-developed purchasing skills are essential. Skills to include, communication, problem solving and the ability to relate to all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to track performance against measurable metrics with strict observance for quality and compliance and to always keep Unisurge's performance in focus.
  • Demonstrate an innovative mindset with the ability to translate best practice into clever use of resources.
  • Ability to conform to existing processes with an eye for detail, to ensure that practices are maintained and operating in the most cost-efficient manner.
  • Show a flexible working attitude with some level of initiative when required.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.

Salary:
£30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
