We have a new accountancy position within a small team for a Finance Assistant. This is a varied role and will be working across 2 companies and is office based. The second company will be operational in September 2023.

We are a friendly and dedicated company that provide tailored and therapeutic care services to children in rural West Berkshire.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance assistant who enjoys a varied role within an expanding company.


Finance Assistant Job Duties:

**Must have experience in Xero and double entry book-keeping

  • Issuing monthly sales and quarterly invoices
  • Prepare and post Journals
  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Periodic banking of cheques.
  • Processing Employees expenses.
  • Reconcile balance sheets on a monthly basis.
  • Credit Control
  • Reconcile and Reporting on debtors and creditors at each month end.
  • Sorting financial documents and posting them to different cost centres.
  • Petty cash reconciliation.
  • Processing and completing purchasing orders as when required.
  • Some ad hoc duties.

The Successful Applicant

  • Immediately available
  • Educated to 'A' level or GCSE level (or equivalent) with 5 year+ added accountancy experience
  • Competent PC skills and intermediate experience of Excel. Can work with large data sets
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good organisational and communication skills at all levels
  • A driver and able to travel between the companies and different cost centres within the local area to the office
  • To come in hitting the ground running

Salary:
