Our client is looking to hire a Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Commercial Analyst) to join a busy buying/purchasing/pricing team.

Location:
Holborn, London (1 to 2 Days a week in the office (Thursdays)

Duration:3 Months

Day Rates:
Negotiable depending on experience - Inside IR35 (Umbrella)

Job Duties:

As a Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Commercial Analyst) your primary responsibility will be to support the delivery of the Supplier Planning programme.

Supplier Planning is a structured approach to supplier conversations with our branded supply base to ensurewe can deliver plans that help us both grow in partnership.

Specifically, you will:

Cultivate close business partnerships with the Buying teams & Strategic Sourcing Managers, owning the data integrity of your category portfolio
Provide clear and concise commentary to crossfunctional stakeholders to support with supplier negotiations and inform on investment position
Manage the data led steps of the Supplier Planning process to include setting the 'baseline' position of our current P&L and accurately analysing data from suppliers on conditions of offers
Work hand in hand with our finance team to ensure we are reporting and recording data correctly
Continuously look to improves processes and workflows

Experience / Knowledge Required:

Strong analytical capability to interrogate data to generate insights
Effective communicator understands the importance of conveying complex data in a clear & concise manner to multiple stakeholders be able to provide commentary to Buyers
Confident user of Microsoft excel
Business and commercial experience in retail/FMCG desirable but not essential
Good judgement in the face of multiple, and sometimes, conflicting demands
Ability to influence at all levels (up to and including Heads of departments)
Strong customer focus
Would suit someone from a finance background
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders & flex your style to suit the situation
