Aspen Hill Village are looking for a Commercial Finance Advisor to work in our care home in Hunslet, Leeds. We are 180 bedded nursing home consisting of 6 individual care units.
Responsibilities:
Staffing:
- Responsible for inputting rotas onto the system that are planned by the units
- Ensure the site is safe with the required staffing levels
- Taking into account the skill mix of employees.
- Contacting agencies and arranging the booking of agency staff for any shifts that cannot be covered internally.
- Discuss staffing in the daily operations meeting with the Senior Leadership Team.
- Negotiating new terms and conditions with third party agencies.
- Liaising with the Recruitment department to ensure staffing levels are sufficient.
- Arranging cover for staff sickness, absenteeism or holidays.
- Moving staff to different units when needed based on their skill level and resident needs.
- Determine staffing shortfalls and report job vacancies and scheduling problems to Human Resources.
Admissions:
- Working as part of a team to organise admissions for the carehome;
- Arranging with nurses and unit managers to carry out assessments and for the assessments to be reviewed by Senior Management;
- Negotiating placement terms with Social Workers; Analysing information given and reporting back to Senior Management;
- Ensuring funding arrangements are acceptable before admissions are accepted;
- Discussing funding arrangements with residents or their Next of Kin;
- Liaising with Nursing staff, Housekeepers and Maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for admissions;
- Assuring the T&C for new residents are issued.
About you:
- Organisation: Staffing Coordinators must ensure they're adhering to company CQC regulatory standards, so organisational skills are vital for good Staffing Coordinators.
- Relationship building: It is essential that good working relationships are formed both internally with line managers and employees and externally with Agencies, Social Workers, Hospital discharge coordinators, Service users and their families.
- Analytical: Be able to analyse the rotas and staff availability to ensure shifts can be filled and minimise agency usage.
- Accuracy: Attention to detail is an important part to ensure accurate rotas are published and accurate records of staff availability are kept.
We are looking for someone who has experience in a healthcare planning role and organising jobs with a finance background.
This is an extremely important role within the company to ensure both admissions and staff are arranged correctly on a daily basis.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential in communicating accurately both internally and externally when arranging staffing and admissions into the home.
