The Job:
On behalf of our client, who are a charity based in central Bristol, we are seeking a super organised Senior Administrator / Project Administrator to join them on a contract basis (6 months with the review to extending or going permanent).
It's also a new role due to increased workload and you will be supporting the CEO and your role will be incredibly varied but will focus mainly at certain times of the year organising conferences, meetings and events.
They hold an annual conference and in this role you will be working with the team to support organising and delivering the event.
They also organise meetings for steering group members who are medical professionals which you will be responsible for organising and attending.
These can often have a complex agenda and the content is quite technical. Other work with the steering group include supporting the review of clinical guidelines and planning surveys and clinic audits. They have 6 people in the office and 4 others in other parts of the UK. As well as organising these reviews, meetings and the annual conference, you will be taking minutes and producing reports.The role will involve a lot of chasing people for information, responses and updates for these meetings, both before and after.
Most meetings are online, however the annual conference is in person and in LondonThe Person:
For this role our client is seeking the following skills and experience:
- Previous administration including meeting and events coordinator
- Setting up and using efficient data management systems to organise work stream would be a real benefit
- Able to improve processes
- Experience of attending meetings and formal minute taking
- Confident communication skills
- Able to understand sometimes complex medical terms and acronyms
- Excellent written skills and accuracy
- Ideally experience of working in or working with the health care environment
- Confident IT skills (Excel is essential, as you will setting up new documents, flagging deadlines on projects)
- An interest in working for a charity
The Hours:
Part time (flexible hours over 3,4 or 5 days - 24 hours per week including 1 hour paid lunch)
The Location:
Central Bristol, no car parking, 100% office based
The Salary:
C£14 per hour
