We are currently recruiting for a Central Vetting Officer to work as a trusted partner within the Central Vetting team, providing first class administration and handling of Employee vetting standards.

As the Central Vetting Officer you will maintain high and visible contact with stakeholders, enabling clear communication and representing the function through exemplary customer service. Completing work efficiently and with a high level of accuracy, in accordance with internal governance and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
***-
Working within the Central Vetting Team processing new and existing Employee vetting maintaining ISS and customer standards

:

-
Managing the Experian Right to Work portal, ensuring right to work checks are compliant with UK policy and any time-limited checks are followed up whilst supporting Managers with any related queries

:

Conduct the full range of checks specified in the DIO's vetting policy, to ensure that all the relevant information is obtained

:

Identify potential vulnerabilities and any matters relating to an applicant's suitability for vetting clearance which may be a potential threat to security and highlight areas which may require further investigation

:

Maintain database of all current and past clearances and report any changes in these clearances directly to the DIO or other sponsor

:

-
Ensure all ID and BPSS, SC & CTC clearances are renewed in a timely fashion

:

Ensure all paperwork relating to BPSS/SC clearances is destroyed in accordance with the DIO regulations

Security Point of Contact (SPOC) for DIO.

Professional and personal competencies/qualifications

Experience of complex decision-making, with a sound understanding or the organisational, or personal impact of those decisions

Be able to analyse and scrutinise evidence from a number of different sources to ensure suitability for clearance

A passion and demonstrable skill for first class, professional customer service

Excellent written and verbal communication

Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy

IT proficient(inc. Excel,PowerPoint);confident handling and working with data

Ability to organise and prioritise a workload to meet deadlines

Flexible and adaptable approach, enabling full support to the team

Awareness of UK Right To Work & DIO Vetting requirements

Awareness of GDPR and Data Subject Access Requests

Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships within the team and internal stakeholders
