Hutcheon Mearns are working with our client to hire a Trainee Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

This business has created an industry-leading product design and manufacturing facility that includes laboratory, design engineering, production, and testing facilities focused on the offshore energy sector.

Based in Cove, our client is a growing company offering excellent career progression opportunities and study support. You must be a driven individual looking to work within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:

Weekly reconciliation of all P&L nominal codes
Analysis of all P&L costs to ensure accurately coded
Liaising with other departments to ensure accuracy of P&L Costs
Weekly issue of Actual v Budget positions to key budget holders
Maintaining P&L Reports to a high standard
Assist with the preparation of month accruals/deferrals
Prepare annual P&L Budget
Assist with external Audit, Tax and Patent work
Input of weekly stock cycle count
Issue of weekly stock schedule and KPI Dashboard
Ensuring count schedule is in line with Policy
Provide holiday cover for all roles to support the accounting function
